We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team at our 40-room boutique hotel in the heart of the vibrant De Pijp district. This role is essential in maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and "cosy" atmosphere our guests expect from a premium boutique experience.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Control & Inspections: Conduct thorough daily inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure they meet our specific boutique brand standards before being released to the front office.
Operational Oversight: Supervise the daily workflow of the cleaning team, ensuring productivity and time management are optimized across all 40 rooms.
Inventory & Supply Management: Monitor and maintain stock levels for linens, guest amenities, and cleaning supplies. Conduct regular audits to ensure inventory is accounted for and order replacements as needed.
Maintenance Coordination: Identify and report any technical defects or maintenance issues discovered during room inspections to the appropriate department immediately.
Reporting: Track room status and provide regular updates on cleaning progress, deep-cleaning schedules, and any staffing requirements.
Experience: Proven experience in housekeeping, preferably in a supervisory or senior role within the hospitality industry.
Attention to Detail: A sharp eye for aesthetics and cleanliness—nothing escapes your notice, from a stray hair to a crooked pillow.
Leadership Skills: Ability to motivate a team and provide constructive feedback in a fast-paced environment.
Proactive Mindset: You are a problem-solver who anticipates needs before they become issues for the guest.
Local Knowledge: Comfortable working in the Amsterdam city center and managing the unique logistics of a boutique property.
Communication: Fluent in English; knowledge of Dutch is a significant advantage.
