In the planting department, the chrysanthemum cuttings are stored and processed using an automated process. As a planting department shift leader, you manage the employees who process the cuttings on a daily basis and make sure that the automated planting process runs continuously. In addition to the managerial tasks, we also expect you to regularly participate in production. You facilitate an efficient start at the beginning of the shift and a proper handover at the end. You operate a variety of machines and report deviations and technical malfunctions to the troubleshooting employee or the technical department. You solve minor malfunctions yourself. You check the quality level of the cuttings that are processed and supervise the employees in the execution of their work. The production process in the cuttings department is done in two shifts. Work usually starts at 6 a.m. or 3 p.m. In this position, you will report to the manager of the cuttings department.

  • You perform the tasks that are necessary to start the production process and make sure there is a proper information handover at the end of the shift.
  • You operate a variety of machines and do minor technical troubleshooting yourself. You report major malfunctions or deviations to the management or technical department in good time.
  • You make sure data is correctly registered and processed in the computer system.
  • You check the quality level of the cuttings that are processed and guide employees in performing the tasks.
  • You make sure that the planting process keeps running continuously.


Job Requirements:
  • You have at least a Secondary Vocational Education (MBO) working and thinking level.
  • You have technical insight and are inventive and decisive.
  • You can work with computers and are stress-resistant.
  • You have excellent communication skills and you can manage employees.
  • You have a good sense of responsibility and are focused on quality.
  • You are willing to work flexible hours and during weekends according to a specific schedule.
  • You are fluent in English; speaking Polish is a plus.
  • This position is for 38 hours per week.
