The Role

We are looking for a SHEQ Officer / Coordinator to join our growing team in the Netherlands. This is a hands‑on, site‑based role where you will work closely with operational teams to drive a strong safety and environmental culture. You won’t just monitor compliance — you’ll actively shape behaviours, influence leaders, and help create safer, smarter ways of working across multiple sites.

You’ll play a key role in ensuring our operations meet the highest standards in Safety, Health, Environment and Quality (SHEQ), while supporting the business to continuously improve performance.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Be a visible SHEQ presence across sites, working directly with managers and teams
  • Carry out regular site walks to identify risks and improve safety standards
  • Lead and support incident reporting, investigations, and corrective actions
  • Analyse trends in incidents and proactively implement improvementsSupport audits (internal and ISO) and ensure compliance with SHEQ standards
  • Build strong relationships with regulators and support inspections
  • Maintain accurate SHEQ documentation, reporting, and data
  • Support training initiatives and promote best practice across teams
  • Drive engagement and accountability for safety at all levels of the business
  • Contribute to tenders, pre‑qualification questionnaires (PQQs), and SHEQ submissions

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in a SHEQ / HSE role (2+ years preferred)
  • A relevant qualification (e.g. NEBOSH, MVK, HVK or equivalent — or willingness to achieve)
  • Understanding of ISO standards and audit processes
  • Strong communication skills — able to influence at all levels
  • A proactive, hands‑on approach with the confidence to challenge and improve standards
  • Experience working across multiple sites is an advantage
  • Strong organisational and reporting skills
  • Full driving licence (role involves site travel)

What You’ll Get in Return

  • Competitive salary: €35,000 – €45,000 (depending on experience)
  • 24 days holiday + public holidays
  • Ongoing training and professional development (fully supported)
  • A role with real impact in a growing, sustainability‑focused business
  • The opportunity to shape safety culture across multiple operations
