You will take part in research projects that address challenges for Sleep & Respiratory therapeutic solutions and in this way create impact for our business, see Sleep and Respiratory Care | Philips for our products.Your role:You will be part of our Sleep & Respiratory Care division based in Eindhoven and work with multi-disciplinary (global) teams on projects that focus on innovations for our Sleep & Respiratory Care product portfolio.You will have the opportunity to test and evaluate our solutions in a laboratory setting, showing feasibility and proof of principle.You will build research set-ups and perform measurements in the area of sleep and respiratory care.You will assist/drive data analysis in coordination with other team members and data scientists.This flexible role offers you the opportunity to work with international teams, while benefiting from a hybrid working model (spend at least 3 days working from the office and up to 2 days from home).You're the right fit if:You hold a Master’s or PhD degree in biomedical engineering, mechanical engineering, physics, or equivalent relevant engineering degree.You have experience or affinity with research in the field of Respiratory Physiology & Therapy, and/or Sleep Medicine.You have at least 5-8 years of experience in an industrial research environmentYou have experience and interest in mathematical modeling of mechanical systems (respiratory mechanics) or equivalentYou have experience and interest in carrying out lab measurements and processing and analysing of the measured dataYou have experience with MATLAB, Simulink or PythonYou have experience with CFD tools (i.e. STAR-CCM+ and ANSYS Fluent) (desirable)You are able to multi-task and can work independently as well as part of a teamYou have a hands-on attitude and are able to show initiative to improve projects and are able drive/manage themAbout PhilipsWe are a health technology company.
