Job Description
- Lead end‑to‑end procurement activities for direct and indirect materials used in manufacturing.
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies that align with production planning and business objectives.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and service levels with suppliers to secure optimal commercial terms.
- Manage supplier relationships, including performance monitoring, risk assessment, and continuous improvement actions.
- Collaborate closely with production, engineering, quality, and finance teams to ensure material availability and specification compliance.
- Analyse market trends, raw material availability, and pricing developments to proactively manage supply risks.
- Drive cost reduction initiatives through value engineering, supplier consolidation, and alternative sourcing.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with internal policies, sustainability standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare procurement reports, forecasts, and KPIs for senior management.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Senior Buyer should have:
- A degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes and practices.
- Experience in the manufacturing sector,
- Excellent negotiation and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in using procurement software and tools.
- Fluency in English; additional language skills are an advantage.
- Ability to work effectively in a team‑oriented environment.
