Do you have experience procuring mechanical equipment packages in complex EPC or offshore projects? Can you lead supplier negotiations while balancing technical requirements, cost, and delivery timelines?

We are looking for a Senior Buyer - Mechanical Equipment to manage the procurement of critical mechanical packages (e.g., static and rotating equipment) for complex engineering projects, ensuring cost-effective sourcing, strong supplier performance, and on‑time delivery.

Tasks & responsibilities:

• Develop and lead procurement strategies for mechanical equipment packages aligned with project schedules and budgets.
• Source, evaluate and select suppliers for static and rotating equipment (e.g., pressure vessels, pumps, compressors, heat exchangers).
• Lead technical and commercial bid evaluations in close collaboration with engineering teams.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms for high‑value mechanical equipment packages.
• Issue and manage purchase orders, ensuring alignment with technical specifications and project requirements.
• Monitor supplier performance, manufacturing progress, and delivery timelines.
• Manage supplier risks, resolve technical/commercial deviations, and support expediting activities.
• Collaborate closely with engineering, project management, and quality teams.
• Provide clear procurement reporting, including progress, risks, and cost status.
• Mentor junior buyers and contribute to procurement best practices and continuous improvement.

Requirements Senior Buyer - Mechanical Equipment (Offshore/EPC)

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management (Mechanical preferred), Business Administration, or related field.
• 10+ years of procurement experience within oil & gas, offshore, or EPC projects.
• Proven experience with mechanical equipment procurement (static and/or rotating equipment).
• Experience with offshore production facilities or FPSO projects is highly preferred.
• Strong experience in technical bid evaluation and supplier selection.
• Solid understanding of engineering specifications and mechanical equipment packages.
• Experience with supplier manufacturing processes and vendor management.
• Familiarity with procurement systems and ERP tools.
• Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to operate in fast‑paced, multidisciplinary project environments.
