Job Description

Our client is looking for a Quality Control Laboratory Team Lead to oversee daily laboratory operations at a production site. This role is ideal for someone who combines hands‑on laboratory knowledge with the ability to guide and support a team.

The successful candidate will lead a group of analysts working across microbiology and sample logistics, ensuring that daily activities run smoothly and that quality and safety standards are consistently maintained. This person will also act as a key point of contact for the laboratory within the wider organisation and contribute to improvement initiatives across the site.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support a team of laboratory professionals across microbiology and sample logistics
  • Ensure daily laboratory activities are organised effectively and completed in line with quality and regulatory standards
  • Monitor workflow and respond to changing priorities in a fast‑paced production environment
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders such as production, quality assurance, and technical teams
  • Help maintain a safe, efficient, and well‑structured laboratory operation
  • Contribute to continuous improvement projects and wider quality control objectives
  • Act as a key contact person for laboratory‑related topics within the site
  • Support a positive team environment and adapt leadership style to suit different team needs

Requirements

  • Higher professional education level or equivalent working and thinking level
  • Experience in a laboratory environment
  • Experience leading, guiding, or coordinating a team
  • Strong communication skills in both Dutch and English
  • Able to work effectively in a dynamic production environment
  • Experience with quality systems such as ISO 17025 is an advantage
  • Audit experience is a plus
