To work collaboratively within the grant delivery team to prepare and deliver grant applications, building personal capability and market awareness.

Duties and Responsibilities:

People:

  • Work collaboratively within the team, reporting progress to the Manager and identifying any issues as they arise.
  • Review own work and that of peers to ensure high levels of accuracy as well as suggestions for improvement before QC; follow Granted Best Practice.

Client:

  • Liaise with clients via email, phone calls and meetings in order to gather relevant information.
  • Act as the secondary project contact point for clients, raising questions related to the project as appropriate.

Value:

  • Provide project support on client assignments and grant applications, taking the lead on specific tasks as required.
  • Produce professional written content with attention to detail, capturing and clearly presenting complex information in a written form.
  • Undertake effective data gathering and conduct high-level research to support client projects.
  • Able to pull together project costs from any source, adapt and present confidently.
  • Develop a general understanding and knowledge of the funding market and landscape, both self-initiated and under supervision.
  • Investigate funding mechanisms under instruction and brief the team appropriately.
  • Develop awareness of funding assessment processes.

Education and Experience: No or limited relevant experience. Demonstrates strong verbal, numerical and written skills. Must be able to prove excellent critical thinking skills, ability to summarise complex information in a simple and clear way. An ability to research and be a quick learner is also essential.

Computer Skills: Strong knowledge in Microsoft Office, Google Document Suite.

Certificates and Licenses: None.

Supervisory Responsibilities: None.

Work Environment:

  • Standard indoor working environment.
  • Occasional long periods of sitting while working at desk.
  • Position requires regular interaction with employees and clients both in person and via e-mail and telephone.
  • Independent travel requirement: 5-10%
